> Section "Voices" of the AthanLab Developer API documentation (API version 1.0.0). On the web: https://athanlab.com/docs#voices. Whole documentation as Markdown: https://athanlab.com/docs.md # Voices `GET /voices` lists AthanLab's official voices (`source: "athanlab"`) and the voices in your own AthanLab library (`source: "user"`). Pass a voice's `id` as `voice_id`. The official voices include `athanlab-default-female-v1` and `athanlab-default-male-v1`. If you leave `voice_id` out, the job uses `default_voice_id` from the same response. If that is `null`, the default is briefly unavailable, so send a `voice_id`. `GET /voices/{id}/preview` returns a signed sample URL, valid for one hour, so your users can hear a voice before choosing it. You add library voices in the AthanLab app, under its consent rules: only your own voice, or one you have the speaker's explicit permission to use (see the [Acceptable Use Policy](https://athanlab.com/aup)). Full details: [GET /voices](https://athanlab.com/docs#endpoint-get-voices) and [GET /voices/{id}/preview](https://athanlab.com/docs#endpoint-get-voices-id-preview) in the endpoint reference.
