1. Acceptance

By using AthanLab ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time — continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Service Description

AthanLab provides AI-powered text-to-speech generation, voice cloning, audiobook creation, and a community voice marketplace for Myanmar/Burmese language.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Voice Cloning & Consent

This is critical. By uploading a voice sample, you confirm that:

You own the voice or have explicit written consent from the voice owner to clone and use their voice.
You will not clone voices of public figures, celebrities, or any person without their informed consent.
You accept full legal responsibility for any voice you upload, clone, or use through the Service.
AthanLab is not liable for unauthorized voice cloning by users.

We reserve the right to remove any voice sample reported as unauthorized and suspend the uploader's account.

5. Voice Marketplace

By publishing a voice to the marketplace, you:

Grant AthanLab a non-exclusive license to host and distribute the voice sample.
Confirm you have the right to share this voice publicly.
Understand other users may clone and use your shared voice for their own text-to-speech generation.
Can remove your voice from the marketplace at any time (existing clones are not affected).

By using a voice from the marketplace, you:

Agree to use it only for lawful text-to-speech generation.
Will not use cloned voices to impersonate, deceive, or harm others.
Accept that voice quality and accuracy may vary.

6. Acceptable Use

You must NOT use AthanLab to:

Impersonate any person without their explicit consent.
Create deepfakes, misleading content, or fraudulent audio.
Generate hate speech, threats, harassment, or illegal content.
Circumvent usage limits or abuse free tier quotas.
Scrape, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service or its API.
Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You own the text you input and the audio generated from it.
Voice samples: You retain ownership of voice samples you upload. AthanLab stores them to provide the Service.
The platform: AthanLab, its code, design, and AI models are owned by AthanLab.

8. Payments & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
Prices are in Thai Baht (THB).
Character usage resets each billing cycle.
Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial months. You may cancel anytime.

9. Limitation of Liability

AthanLab is provided "as is" without warranty. We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free service.
Perfect accuracy of generated speech.
Preservation of all data in case of system failure.

AthanLab is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or reputation.

10. Takedown & Reporting

If you believe a voice on the marketplace was uploaded without consent, contact us at support@athanlab.com. We will investigate and remove infringing content promptly.
